Unbelievable:)...(or perhaps not, perhaps instead it's par for the course - see below) those bendy rulers in A that I spotted a couple of weeks ago, with 25p yellow label above them, but really 50p, 25p label still there today in the same store. (Despite CS saying "we'll have to change that one" after my last £2 GC.)

I'm happy to have an entire room full of rulers if they're paying me £1.75 for each one!:rotfl: So, another £2 GC. Although I had no problem obtaining the GC, CS at first said they didn't do it on "Home & Leisure" items (despite me being given a GC straight out last time - I mentioned nothing about that) but when I replied, truthfully, "I didn't know that", the CS then said it was changing from June. I don't know whether you lot on here (such quick-off-the-mark, highly attentive people) have already mentioned this - I bet you have, but I've missed it:D - but two weeks to get in as many rulers and mis-priced home items as we can!!

Thinking about it, perhaps it's strange to exclude home electrical items and the like from 'refund to shelf price and £2 GC'. Instead apparently it's only to apply to groceries (perhaps good in still applying to them as perhaps, in the right shopping, we can get £2 off the lower price and then an APG on them). But, apart from situations such as these 25p rulers (that are really 50p) where the 25p minus the £2 leaves a minus figure, other home items, such as electrical items such as microwave ovens and deep fat friers, if mis-priced, it could be simply, in effect, a £2 discount off the shelf price (which presumably they must have been willing to sell the item for previously as that price was still on the shelf). Whereas groceries, that tend to be lower-priced, could be a carton of milk or a can of soup, mispriced, yet it's the shelf price minus £2 - could be paid for them! Seems, from that point of view, somewhat strange, although perhaps if they are showing £25 on a fat frier but it goes through at £50, it leaves you paying £50 (without recompense??) which ends up £25 more for them(?).

One thing is for sure - I had no difficulties at all with the CS at A and was left very satisfied. I am certain that, if this had been T, they would have left me with nothing at all and very dissatisfied.

I am very pleased with my womble trip (originally for that reason anyway) - already £1.75 up. (Though I did 'have' to buy a pack of melon slices at £1 to make it look less obvious that I'd gone for the ruler (on seeing the price still showing for it). However I'll eat those melon slices this afternoon - good value item in my view - although one more item now to find to fill the next APG shop - but that'll be a much lower priced item than £1, so looks like I have what I wanted - some melon slices for the afternoon as a bonus, and 75p to me for taking a ruler. Plus whatever the wombles give.)

Lastly, returning to the outset paragraph - regarding it being "unbelievable"(?) that the 25p price was still on the shelf days (weeks??) later - it's those "neuro-typical" people again. Failing to do things thoroughly and properly. And also the Asperger person having the attentiveness to detail again and picking up on it. (See my previous post, 6228.)

And yes folks, the topic of autism is at the moment itself one of my current narrow specialist areas of interest, so you'll hear me going on and on and on about it!! I'm trying not to...! So you can just skip these posts if you wish:rotfl::rotfl::p- and be thankful that on here at least there's a mute button that you wouldn't have if this was in RL.:D:rotfl::rotfl:

Popped in to Asda today to return my OOD crisps as per HQ's instructions. They told me they would immediately contact the store, inform them of my details and tell them to refund/replace and give me a gift card for the trouble.

I thought I would pick up a replacement pack first to take with me to CS - but I couldn't find any Salt & Vinegar packs that had a date other than 11 May ! So I thought I'd pick up a pack of plain salted ones instead - and they were all dated 11 May as well. I finally located a pack of Cheese & Onion that were dated July and trotted off to CS.

CS knew nothing about it, denied being contacted by HQ and weren' too keen on the Gift Card. They got a departmental manager for me - he apologised, said nobody had told him about the problem and said he would ensure the old stock was taken off the shelf. And then he walked off - I had to call him back to ask what he was going to do about my crisps and the promised gift card - but I had to tell him I expected £5 s I don't exactly live on Asda's doorstep. He did then sort it out - but I was a bit miffed that they faffed about. We aren't talking about the odd pack here - it was 2 whole shelves of OOD stock.

With all the glitches at the moment my guess is for crisps and lucozade gravy :D
