Update on the MIL: told you it's a family of hypochondriacs
Still, a stroke is a stroke, minor or not. Wife reports that my MIL is doing well and can be home by Tuesday, but sounds as if she now realises MIL will be dead within 2 years (I've seen the deterioration in recent years & it's pretty obvious she's now officially a coffin dodger, I think these oldies just decide they're fed up with life in old age in a lot of cases and they do indeed decide to die).
What it means is that when we go out Weds, I can take the kids to see her at her home as opposed to the hospital, which is obviously preferable.
Question for the gels: my MIL absolutely dotes on & dearly loves our 3 kids (her grandkids). Clearly she's unwell & her time on this pleasant planet is limited. Taking the kids to see her will be about 2.5 hours there & back plus the bit in the middle.
How many times should I take the kids to see her in the period Thursday 23 May - Friday 31 May? My wife arrives Friday 31 May night so can jolly well take them at the weekend
Selfish me says once is enough but the fact I'm asking you gels means I know I'm just another stupid selfish bloke so what is reasonable?0 -
No advice on the dryer, but I just got this patio set, and so far it's really good.

They do it in Red or black, the seats are nice and roomy, and it's all really sturdy. The only down side I can see so far is the parasol doesn't tilt.
I think i've actually seen this at our A's and the seats were comfy too - Im not bothered as long as the kids can sit at the table on their knees etc... without falling/folding - they must be strong enough!0 -

Glad to see your coors light/magners receipt. :T:T:T:Tnever stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
Generally, the smaller receipts give better returns. Ideally about 20-30 products. The longer receipts give more chance to compare in A's favour, therefore no/a lower return.
Alcohol will skew all of the above !
Mine are too small to even compare (less than 10 items)
I think I'll just have to get crazier with my behaviour! I've been too embarrassed to go through bins...Debt free 6th December 2014
