Hampton by Hilton is available on hotels.com for £69 for a double including breakfast. A brand new hotel with good reviews. Go through quidco and sign up for their welcome rewards scheme before you book. Usually works.

Holiday Inn Express Dunstable £57 double inc breakfast. Same advice applies.

Edit - have just seen your last post. Good luck.
    Hope is not a strategy.

My first husbands stag do ended up at toddington services with a barrell of homebrew on the roof and some herbal roll ups:eek::eek:
This was 1984 and in those days the stag was either on the thursday or friday night directly before the wedding.

    Evening all

Well done to savingsbabs what an achievement:T

Logie glad all went well. Yes that is a great ikea. The asda takes every coupon offered but you have to be quick in a glitch situation as tigerwhites patch:D

Well I must thank the nightshift for taking an early bath last night.
I was all caught up with nothing to read so felt my mother needed to play gala bingo.
£410.16 full house on the last ticket I was going to buy as £10 was all spent.
    Thrilled isn't the word. :T:T
Bingo has been kind to me but even kinder to mum as takes her winnings up to £490.16. Makes up for my william hill refusing to pay out on tcb as said I didn't go through tcb when I know I did. Gala tracking nicely and win means I can get bed for guest room earlier than planned and pays for stair carpet so very happy bunny.

Got to start second coat of gloss on door frames tomorrow. Today was spent putting ikea bedroom furniture together, just the sliding wardrobe track left to do.

Also have an awful lot of coupons to cut out properly ready for tesco after art class on wednesday.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the tips on this thread and a big thank you for all going to bed early last night:T:T:T

Thanks DM - actually she just told me NOT to book a room

This is bad, she's clearly fretting that she's not going out early enough in case the MIL deteriorates, this is when she gets all irrational, I've seen it all before, she nearly cancelled (losing all the money!) what turned out to be the holiday of a lifetime in Thailand because of SARS.

Time to take a step back & let her sleep on it, she's just on the phone non stop so I can't really even talk to her (not such a bad thing :D:beer:)

    Let's move on!

good idea squills. Assess the situation tomorrow when emotions have subsided. Hope you get something sorted, love x
