false accusation from A debt collection company

Hello
A debt collection company was chasing me by error and accused me of owing some money to E-on on a electricity bill from an apartment I have never lived before. Some how they linked my name with the wrong address and they called me several times and sent me a letter till finally all was sorted after a long argue with them. Do I have a case against them for a false accusation?

Some how they managed to get all my private information trough my estate agency telling them that i was the responsible for this debt! is this legal?

Thanks for your help in advance

Your argument is with the Estate Agent I would think.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'
