No biggie really but a debt I had with santander detailed in this thread...

...has according to a letter received from Santander today has been passed on to these folks.
Its not a massive debt. Was around £750 quid and I agreed to pay £70 per month off starting last November. I've not missed a payment and there is only a couple of hundred or so left to pay. I could pay it off next month if needs be but we (family of 5) are going on holiday in a few weeks so I see no reason to do anything other that stick to the payment agreement.
Why would such a small debt be passed on? and are they likely to just demand payment in full or something?
Not understanding!
Thanks.

Depends on what the company are doing at the time, having customers on payment plans costs time and effort and distracts from main business.
Barclaycard were about to sell mine on and it was only 421 quid, but I paid it off just before they did.
Selling debts on for a small fraction of the amount owed seems crazy , but they all do it and write the rest off against tax.
People who plod on making regular payments are the bread and butter of most DCA companies, so as long as you pay the installments they probably won't bother you too much.ISA £1675
