    They will want to see where the money came from and when. thousands of pounds appearing in your account from nowhere will immediately raise suspicion.

    If you've got the money then legitimately transfer it to the UK and provide your solicitor with enough proof for him and the lender to be happy with the origin of the funds.

    Do I need to inform my lender about that?

    If you only need 10% why would you get a loan?
