I sent of my first test a couple of weeks ago - I was successful and signed the contract and am now waiting on the second live test. Fingers crossed for me - could really do with the money :D

I work for AQA, been with them for almost two months now. If anyone needs help just shout. I got a help and some tips from here to get in. Just remember to check your spelling and grammar when you get your test. They are very hot on that.

i've been with AQA since July now. It paid off huge chunks of my unsecured debt (reclaimed bank charges paid off the rest!) and I've just been made redundant from my 'main' job so I'm gibing it a go as my full time job.

The most important things for the test are spelling, length of answer, grammar and content.

    Hi

Can I ask - did you get in first time on the second test?

Also how much did/do you earn and how many hours do you put in to earn that much?

Well thank you for this thread I have no idea who they are but having read through an old thread or two it seems worth an email and heaven knows we need some extra income!

Many thanks for drawing it to my attention although without a university education and terrible spelling I may not stand a chance!

Oh dear I am doing so well! Just got this reply..
Thank you for your interest in becoming an AQA Internet Researcher at IssueBits Ltd.

We currently have vacancies for Internet Researchers based in Ireland, Australia or New Zealand only (there are currently NO vacancies in the UK). If your email indicated you reside in one of the listed countries, you will be sent an Internet Researcher job description, application form and researcher test in the next few days. The researcher test is conducted over the internet and takes one or two hours.

Please note that we have had a high number of enquiries about vacancies and successful applicants will start working on a first-come, first-served basis. We thus urge you to return your completed application form and researcher test to us as quickly as possible after you receive it.

If you are not from one of the above countries, please check our website regularly for any vacancies that may arise and then re-apply (see http://www.aqa.issuebits.com/vacancies.htm).

This is an automated message - please do not reply.

They have changed the recruiting page to say that they are only recruiting in those countries too - the UK bit was only up for about 18 hours I think. I guess it's just luck, catching it in time. They recruit fairly often though.

I've just had the job description, application, and test. Can I ask anyone who's done it before - how long did the test take you, and did it log how long it took IYSWIM? If it takes me more than the 2 hours it should, will they know? Any tips?

No, they won't know if you actually took longer than you say (AFAIK). However, you could get found out come second test time, so be as honest as you can. Accuracy is far more important than time. I had a question on my test that I couldn't answer within the allotted time (10 mins I think?), so just put that I couldn't answer it. It didn't stop me being successful, so don't panic too much. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
