CSA and Tax Credits ??

After recently splitting up with my girlfriend and our young baby on relatively good terms, she's changed her mind and wants to get the CSA involved now.
Ive always said i'd pay her maintenance every week myself by standing order and she knows i'd never try to rip her off as i want the baby to have the best life he can do in this situation. Ive never missed any payments and she was happy.
She said she has to get the CSA involved because if she doesn't she won't get tax credits ? Is this true ?
Thanks in advance

Im sure tax credits arent dependent upon CSA.
Maybe you are paying less than the amount she thinks she can get with CSA, or just wants to be on the safe side.
check how much you should be paying

Thats what i thought.
Im actually paying the same amount as the CSA would charge. Id just rather not deal with them at all after reading some of the horror stories on here.
She's just trying to threaten/blackmail me as she wants us to get back together and even said i wouldn't have to pay anything towards the baby if we did.0 -
No,there is no obligation to tell anyone what Child Maintenance is received if on tax credits, working tax credits or benefits since April 2010 (when benefit disregard officially came into place).0

good luck Lee, just need to try and make her see that it makes sense to keep things as they are. And if you do end up having to deal with CSA, just be open and honest with them and show them you have no problem with paying. Tell them that you have been paying regularly and haven't missed any payments, etc. They're not too bad really!0
