Hello
Bit disappointed as I had read of folk being able to obtain sim only from orange having held accs with them for many years
I was declined today though so bit despondent

Was this for a rolling contract type sim or a payg sim? I think the checks are much lower for the rolling contracts but they will still do some sort of credit check. I think there are some networks that are a bit more lenient than others, but I can't remember which ones.0

Why not try Three (Hutchison 3G) or Tesco Mobile. I know from experience that both these companies were accomodating.
Some of the telecoms can be very frustrating. :wall:
Good luck!0 -
Try giff gaff(Part of o2), no contracts and you can change how much you want every month.

Hi - See my post from a few months ago regarding Tesco Mobile - they have really good Sim Only deals as well... and they do these with/without credit checks depending if you want to cap your tariff... Worked for me 4 months after discharge...

I've got a vodafone contract which I have held althrough BR, AD is next month and I am also eligible for an upgrade next month too, do you reckon I would be able to get one?0

try a sim only contract with Tesco s, my husband got this so easy. they said if he pays on time for 2 years he can upgrade to a normal phone contract. ( my husband was bankrupt in 09 discharged 2010)0

That's interesting hopefully I may be able to keep my contract as I have two mobiles against it (a valid reason) and its essential that I can keep them0
