Hello
Definetly open an account before you go bankrupt.
Try Nationwide (Flex account ~ no cheque book/overdraft/debit card) or C0-OP Cashminder ~ comes with an electron card)
Hope that helps
Good luck!!

Whereas I would advise not to, as they may decide to close it when informed of your BR status. I think the best thing to do is open an account on the day of bankruptcy.BCSC Member 70:j

Hi,
In my case we applied for the Co-op Cashminder, 10 days before Bankruptcy. As it took 3-4 weeks to open, the wheels were in motion and at least we knew it wouldn't be too long. However I've heard that if you go into a branch of Nationwide/Lloyds or Natwest, you can open an account on the day.
We opted for the Co-op as I prefer the ethical standards they have, and thankfully we were accepted.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0
