Sorry if this has been asked a million times, I haven't had time to search through all the old posts.
Currently I don't work, I left work almost 3 years ago to look after our 3 children, and don't intend going back - even part time- until they are all in primary school, so at least another 2 1/2 years. My husband works, but as yet his company has not started this new scheme that we keep hearing about.
In the mean time I would like to start a private pension but I have no idea where to go. I Bank with Barclays - do they provide this service? I have looked at their website bout couldn't find an answer. What does anyone else do? Any recommendations?

No. Barclays withdrew from providing advice on regulated products following a massive fine for mis-selling. Although the retail distribution review may also have been a reason as that has seen many of the banks and building societies pull out.
Any local IFA should be able to do this for you. https://www.unbiased.co.uk is the main website. It lists restricted and independent. You should select from independent as this gives whole of market access.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Well that explains why I couldn't find anything on the Barclays web site !! I will have a look at that link you provided, Thank you.0
