Help think I've been scammed

Can anyone give me any advice on this.
I sold a big batch of sims on e-bay. The buyer phoned to say he'd pay me by paypal, which he did Sunday morning. He collected the sims in person on Sunday afternoon. Sunday night I was e-mailed by paypal to find he's filed a dispute against me and the funds have been suspended. He won't respond to my e-mails
Have I been scammed.
Thanks
P

Oh dear
Never ever let anyone collect if they pay with Paypal. You have no proof that the buyer has received them (proof of postage with tracking), so yes, it seems you have been well and truly scammed sorry.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Thanks for that. I'll know for next time.0

Just a thought, I am wondering if this will work for you...
Presumably the dispute is regarding the fact that he 'didn't receive the items' and now you have no way to prove that he did as he collected after paying via Paypal. You don't say when the listing ended but I assume end of last week-ish from the rest of the information, and there's no way thats enough time to decide the items have not been sent.
Does Paypal want proof of postage (ie the special delivery number) to prove the items were sent and received?
If so, could this work... send him an envelope by special delivery, empty of course, (you should have his address already) and he or someone at his address will have to sign for this as they will assume it is a 'real' delivery. Voila, you have proof of delivery of an item at his address, signed for by him or someone at his address, give the tracking number to Paypal to resolve the dispute. You will need to do this quickly, and it will cost you for the special delivery but it may be worth it to resolve the dispute (depending on how much he paid).
I know this is a bit dishonest, but then so is what he is doing!0 -
ah yes honeypop is right, he wont know it is from you, and he will accept it.. nice oneI

Another thought - he paid Sunday morning, and then filed a dispute in the evening because he hadn't received them? How exactly were you going to post them that quickly?
Personally, I'd go around his house with some big friends to collect my payment.0 -

Something I have never had the chance to try myself, but why not send him a letter recorded delivary, just an empty envelope or something, and then use the tracking number from that in the paypal dispute0

With him coming to collect I never got his address0

Paypal haven't actually stated what the dispute is about. It states it is waiting for a response from the buyer0
