No account numbers on Experian file

I have received my Experian report as I am planning to send !!!!!! letters to 3 creditors. Please could someone answer the following question.
There are no account numbers on the Experian report and these debts are so old that I don't have any paperwork. I'm pretty sure that the !!!!!! letter needs to have the account numbers on but am not sure how to get hold of them. I've read that it is a bad idea to call creditors so I guess I could write to them but as far as I know they might have sold them to a DCA by now. Please let me know if I could send the !!!!!! letter with my name, D.O.B and old address that the credit is linked to or, If I need the account numbers, how to get hold of them
Thanks.

When was the last time you paid or acknowledged these? Presumably less than 6 years if still on your credit report?
Never phone DCAs.
Have you moved? Searching your report may link the address and they are likely to find you.:beer:0 -
Thanks for the reply
I last paid them about 3 years ago and the defaults are about 2 years old. The letters stopped coming about 1.5 years ago. I'm not that bothered if they find my new address as I want to pay them now. The thing is I don't know if the debts are still with the original creditors or DCAs. I just want to know what my account numbers are and who to contact with the !!!!!! letters.0 -
Whoever reports the account o Experian is usually the account holder. So write to them in the first instance.:beer:0
