Another vote for RoadRunners from me.
I use them a few times each month and they are always on time (or a bit early) and have never let me down.

If you don't want to book online or your not too sure of your timings yet, just give them a call.

They normally have loads of ars available, so providing it's not late on Friday or Saturday evening, you should be able to arrange a pickup on short notice.

Just a thank you for the two posts above. The airport taxis are horrendous prices and it is just that bit far to walk. Filed for future reference.

Too right.
An airport taxi from Gatwick to my house (about 5 miles) is £16.50.
Instead of this, I phone RoadRunners as soon as I've collected my luggage and the car is normally waiting by the time I've walked to the pick up area.
Their cost for the same journey is £8.00.

I realise that the cab companies have to pay to allow them to operate at the airport, but a 100% markup is really taking the pi55.
