BCW - Wish I got angry earlier!!!!!

A couple of months ago I looked at my credit score and found that a loan I had, had been given to BCW credit collectors.
I have delt with BCW before so gave them a call to see what could be arranged.
The person on the phone was so unhelpful, it was stupid. I explained that I was living outside the UK so if I could email details I would prefer this. I asked how payments could be made and what I needed to do.
Needless to say the answer I recieved was poor, she did explain I needed to do a SOA and send it to them before they agreed any payment plan.
I again told her I was living outside the UK and that I was moving back soon. I didnt see the point of an SOA because it will be out of date in a months time. Still she gave me the email address. So I emailed them with the details, explaining that I was abroad and returning to the UK in the near future.
I did not recieve a reply, however last week I received a letter stating that I would be visited by an agent to discuss the situation. Great! 17 hour flight, at a cost of about £950 return!!!! So I phoned them again, the lady on the phone realised I was angry and so agreed a payment plan on the spot. She apologised for the computer gerenated letter and when I explained about the SOA and moving back, she suggested I settle in back home before completting the SOA.
FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A BIT OF SENSE ON THE PHONE!
But why does it take angry customer for companies to see sense?
