Employment contract - can't work for company for 6 months :(

Hello there,
I have been in a difficult situation for a month now,I will avoid naming my agency or the firm I work for as not too sure if I shouldreveal it or not.
I got a contract with an agency which got a contract with other firm which use to call me directly and give me work but I was paid through my agency. Now something have gone wrong between the agency and the firm and the firm don’t call me anymore for work, I have been told that my agency has to comply with the firms new rules which involves getting new training and CRB check and only then I can work with the firm.
The problem is even though I have agreed with my agency for a CRB check and training, its been almost a month now and the agency which seems to me like a one man company is not responding to my emails orphone calls and it seems like the firm wont be using any contractors from my agency anymore, I contacted the firm directly and even though they do want me back to work (this time directly) but have mention that they got an agreement with my agency that they won’t be able to use any contractor for 6 months who have work with the agency unless the agency email the firm that its alright with them to use the contrator directly or emailing the NOC to the firm.
Now as myself and other contractors are unable to contact the agency is there any other way that can void this agreement. I have already been told to wait for 6 months which is a bit too much for me as not finding any other jobs at the moment.
Any suggestions will be welcomed.
Thank you

Can't you go into the agency and physically speak to someone there, to find out what is going on?! What is your notice period with the agency?DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

The problem is i dont have any address, i only use to commmunicate with them through email or mobile number which was rare as i normally use to get calls from the firm directly.0 -
Well what is the name of the agency? Can't your google them? They must have a physical address, they must send invoices etc to the other Company.
How did you get in touch with the agency in the first place?

agency name is XYZ Consultancy, i was given there number from my friend and i had a telephonic interview and thats how i got the job in first place, i use to send the timesheet to my firm for approval and once approved i used to send the copy to the agency and use to get paid. I never had to put the address anywhere.
I know it sound stange now that how i was working through an agency without knowing the address but i never had to.
Can anyone plese suggest any solution .0 -
Their address must be on the contract you have signed with them. If there is no contract, there's nothing to bind you to them, surely. Is this them?

Thanks skintandscared this is useful
I was wondering is it worh sending them some sort of notice asking them to respond within certain period and failing to reply will mean they have no objection, will this be enough to avoid any legal action that the agency migh take if they my firm hire me again?0 -
The contract in question is between the agency and the client and therefore it is not really you that can demand or conditionalise anything.
Obviously havent seen the contract in question, and I suspect you havent either, but normally agency contracts effectively say that if you do direct hire a temp member of staff they introduced then either you have to keep paying their fee and/ or pay their perm placement fee (depending on if you go to the client on a perm or temp basis)
Ultimately it is the client that has to decide if they are willing to run the risk of being stung if they take you on directly.0
