Thought I was doing the right thing by enlisting on a training scheme that would get me a couple of BTECs as well as an SIA qualification.:T
During signing on today I ask about making a claim for travel expenses. All seems fine until I tell her (oops) that it is 4weeks long, as company doing the training use the grants they get from the BTECs to pay for the SIA badge and qual.
Advisor turns around  and says no can do. 16hr max allowed training time otherwise I am not spending enough time looking for work. Possibility of a 2week exclusion to this rule but does not really help as course is 4 weeks.:(
They don't put any incentive into making you get of your a#se and look for work do they. Theres the PM saying one thing and the Dept of DWP doing the opposite.

Shame that when your trying to better yourself. The country is to busy sending funds to eastern europe for immigrant children at the cost of £50 million a year to the tax payer, when you cant even get a simple course underway for your self with a little funding.
Hope things work out a little better soon for you soon .0
