Hello lovely wedding planners!
I post on other boards, and recently got engaged so thought I'd say hello!
I don't have a date booked yet, but hoping for August 2015. Seems a long way off but I know the old cliche is true and it will come round quick!
I'm planning on having the ceremony at our local church, then onto the village hall. I'm planning on doing as much as I can myself, and making it as MSE as possible! I love crafting so it is the perfect excuse!
Look forward to planning with you all!

Hello Poppygirl and congratulations on the engagement! I'm new here too having just got engaged over the bank Holiday. We're looking at 2015/2016 so hopefully we can tread some of the journey together and bounce ideas around. Looking forward to talking to you!
Coongrats again!Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -
Congrats - you get to go to all the venues and try to get freebies from fairs!0

I'm in the newly engaged club too, we got engaged a month ago and are starting to plan our wedding, hopefully May 2015. We've already looked round one venue that we like and just recieved a quote today for food/hire from that venue, now to figure out where we can prune things and save money! Got another venue viewing on Wednesday as well.
Will be doing as much as possible myself, making invitations, favour presentation, mum helping me with centrepieces etc.
So excitingIf it doesn’t move, and it should, use WD-40. If it moves, and it shouldn’t, use duct tape!0 -
Congratulations
I'm recently engaged as well but looking for around July/August 2014 area. I'm not really big on the whole ceremony thing but my OH is so now its start looking and get something more concrete.Back after a wee break, need to mind keep up!!0 -
Hi All
I'm newly engaged too. We are hoping for July 2014 too and have chosen our venue. Just checking with registrar before booking. It's all very exciting and slightly scary!0 -
Hello,
Another newbie here too. I'm not new to MSE but it's been that long since I logged in I can't remember my login details
My lovely OH proposed 2 months ago and we've set a date for June next year. Scary that we had over a year yet it's already less than 11 months!
Looking forward to chatting to you all and getting lots of tips as we are definitely having a MSE wedding0
