About to go bankrupt. I've had an ongoing dispute over a laptop I bought two years ago and had almost given up when they called me today to say they're willing to give me a full refund for 1300 pounds by cheque.
I could really do with this money for obvious reasons. Not really sure what to do with the cheque. I know it sounds quite immoral but I'd to try not to lose this money to the bankruptcy. Does that sound really selfish?

Some will say its selfish, some will not. Just do whats best for you and your personal situation.

I'd agree...We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

I do know what you mean. Yes it is there, we should want to pay back as much as we can but frankly... well... BR is tough and you'll need the money. Don't feel bad!0

Can anyone advise me on what the best thing to do with this cheque would be. Should I just pay it into my account and draw it out gradually or will this be obvious? Should I take it to a cheque cashing place? Or should I just resign myself to surrendering it to the OR?0
