Garnier blur

I was looking at the new Garnier 5 second blur cream. It is supposed to "erase" or blur imperfections. I have very fine lines on my forehead and some frkles and acne discolouration. I thought I'd give it a try but when I went into Boot to try it I found it has no samples available and a tube retails for £12.99.
This is quite a bit if the product is not a foundation but rather a primer? This is my guess. Anyway, has anyone here tried this product yet? Is it worth the price or are there cheaper alternatives out there?

I use nanoblur which I think this is based on which is fab. It is like a sort of primer but is meant to go on top of make up rather than under it. I don't tend to wear foundation and it really does take 10 years off my skin. When I was in the shop I put in on my partners hand and it totally evened up the skin tone took out the wrinkly bits etc. even he was impressed!
I don't know about cheaper alternatives but the more expensive one is very good!If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

I bought this yesterday and put it on straightaway over my make up, I have huge pores, some redness and fine lines, the product can be used over or under make up. My pores looked smaller instantly but it gave my face a pink tint and it feels really greasy, its main ingredient is silicone (dimethicone) so I expected that but not like it did. It was a disaster under make up this morning my ususal foundation (MAC) just slid off within a minutes and I had wierd balls of product on my face and I didnt use too much. DD tried it, she 17 with clear pale skin and she would prefer not to wear foundation. It made no difference to her at all and she hated the slime feeling too. I'm returning it to Boots, hth:)All power is from within and therefore under our control0

I bought a tube of the Garnier product as I can't find my Nanoblur just now!
The Garnier isn't a patch on Nanoblur, in my opinion. I could hardly notice any difference with Garnier, whereas Nanoblur has noticeable effects. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0 -

Uhmmm, not very good news. Especially if you read my other post asking about a certain foundation to cover acne scarring. I can't use a product that is going to cancel my foundation! :eek:Starrystarrynight wrote: »I bought a tube of the Garnier product as I can't find my Nanoblur just now!

I was tempted by this. I used the tester in store on half my face then asked a number ladies which side i had used it on. Not one could tell me. Also I concur with the other reviews that its texture is very off putting.
(I should mention - I explained what i was after and they were all willing participants rather than pouncing on unsuspecting members of the general public)
I thank those lovely ladies who saved me some money!
PS I ended up buying Soap n Glory "show good face" which is hands down the best foundation i have ever used. Saying that I only require a light to med coverage (hate hate hate full foundations) Its blinking brilliant - but you have to shake it... shake it like a polaroid picture....Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

Thank you for another money-saving advice. I loved the "shake it" part. LOL..............................................................................

It will no doubt go down in price just pricey as its new. Those Garnier moisturisers where expensive to begin with but now gone down in price and quite good.
I think primers are overrated to be honest. Unless you have a lot of lines, really bad open pores or really oily skin then I wouldn't bother with them. In my experience they don't make foundation last any longer on normal/dry skin.
I would just cleanse, tone and then have a really good moisturisers that is anti-aging if you matured skinned and suits your skin type and also has a spf.
I use the W7 Primer as its very similar to the Smashbox Primer but more than half the price. Even my Makeup teacher uses it.0
