Morning TTFTM and all,
ok, ok, if you want someone to blame over the change in weather you can blame 'Youngest'. He had the cheek to put on the air con in the house last night. He is getting as bad as his Dad.... The slightest bit of natural warmth and the air con goes on. What we save on having no heating on we use on extra electricity running the air con unit.
Talking about 'Youngest' he's got a full day of exams ahead of him. He's looking forward to breaking up in June. Hope he does well.
Hubby is moaning that was supposed to be a 4 week job has dragged on an extra month. It was only meant to be a stop gap between a better paid job but its dragging on and people need him elsewhere.
The 'Girls' have benefitted from having their hair cut but they could do with having another bath. Its too cold though.
Usual jobs for me:
[STRIKE]Vacuum upstairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum stairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum downstairs[/STRIKE]
Launder bedding
Tea will be beef, cheesy mash and carrots (which reminds me we are out of horseradish)
Have a good day all, somehow i dont think the sunscreen will be needed today.:(This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning ALL
Had a great BH Monday. Lovely and sunny, Jack-in-the-green parade and 50,000 bikers! Took my chair and DGD sat on my lap to watch. Had a picnic on the Prom, then a coffee in our favourite Hotel. Spent the rest of the day in the garden in the sun, Bliss.:T
Now it's raining, but it should clear up soon. No WM or DW for me at the moment. OH was laying ceramic tiles in the kitchen and stripped it, but it wasn't set when he had to go so I am washing knickers out by hand:rotfl: The rest can wait!
Back on the fasting diet yesterday. Smoothie for brekkie today., salmon for lunch as my cousin is coming. Have made a dessert with amaretti biscuits, strawberries and yoghurt.
Have a good day.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hi everyone
Sun peeping through here on the north kent coast, washing on line and I am tackling selling the contents of two dolls houses and two miniature shops. Just started listing the food, miniature carrots, cake etc all over the place posing like supermodels for their photos!
Bike ride planned for later, weather permitting and curry etc for tea, recipe from mag picked up in son of Morris supermarket, looks tastier than the food I am currently handling.
Obviously from some of the posts some folk are having a tough time, my thoughts are with you all.Carolbee0 -
Well we have had a big change weather wise too. Going home from work yesterday it was lovely and sunny and 19 degrees. A lot of rain overnight and it is still raining.
Got my car to the garage for 8.30am for its' second service; will pick it up at lunchtime.
Is your leg the only attractive bit? :rotfl:to ring with a date for my leg,
I'm lost for words! :rotfl:also waiting for a date for our new boiler.

BIG HUGS to Jools. Have a good day everyone.0 -
summertime. I used to do a few competitions, I didn't have time to go in for many, but it was a big excitement when I won something.
So far it's been a mizzly morning, although fairly warm and muggy. But I think it'll brighten up now.
I've been out to run a few errands and will finish the ironing soon.
This afternoon, it's eBay for me. I will prepare a load of listings for this weekends free listings weekend. We have friends visiting on Sunday so I won't have so much time for eBay, so I thought I'd prepare everything to save time.
I might also carry on with my wardrobe rummage if I have time. I wasn't very successful yesterday, I managed to find one pair of shorts to eBay! I think it's because I don't really want to admit that my clothes are getting to small.
We'll have plaice for dinner with veg.
Work tomorrow and Friday, but I'm on holiday from work next week, so I should have loads of time to complete my wardrobe rummage, and get the things ready to eBay.
Have a good dayEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Weather has brightened up but i'm not going to trust it with my washing. I'd be lost without my tumble dryer.
For those of you who remember me talking about my daughter and her partners home for orphaned babies in South Africa i thought i'd update you.
A few days ago they took in an abandoned baby girl. Her name is Amanda. Not much history from her but she is sick a lot.
Today they have collected a little boy who is unwanted. The reason being that his Mother 'didnt like him very much'.
One of the babies that they have looked after long term is in the process of being adopted. I really hope it doesnt fall through. As much as the girls love and care for them, its not the same as having a 'Forever Mum'.
The poor little boy has such a lost look in eyes; thank goodness there are kind people to care for him.
On a brighter note, does anyone fancy curried porridge ?!
Wednesday breakfast is always a particular rush and operator error saw this morning's porridge laced with a healthy dose of cinnamon and CUMIN instead of cinnamon and ginger. Just couldn't understand where the spicy smell was coming from, thought it was the chilli I made yesterday still pervading the air. Just as I twigged what was going on I heard Dh scraping his bowl and thought maybe he hadn't noticed :rotfl::rotfl: 'there was something spicy in today's porridge' came the alarmed comment so I admitted my guilt and removed the offending jar from the porridge cupboard forthwith. I usually keep my dish warm and eat a bit later as I can't face breakfast that early, but I'm afraid I chickened out and made another batch. My excuse is that I have a genuinely delicate stomach and couldn't face the original concoction. Oh well, the dogs will have a treat with their tea....
Culinary disasters apart, it's been blowy here today but no rain since the early hours. Managed to get some bedding washed and almost dry, but keeping a close eye on things as the sky is very dark now.
Hope the sun has been out where you are and thoughts and hugs to those that need them.0
