How to take in a dress

Apologies if this is in the wrong place..
I have dress for my daughter which is corset back. Fits fine everywhere - although has to be pulled in tight, however the top of the corset gapes - as though it needs like a hook and eye to hold it together.
I don't want to pay for some one to do this, can I just buy one? Is there another way of taking a dress in about 1cm? Easily?
Many thanks.

Sewing on your own hook and eye sounds like the best solution - you can buy packs of them at any craft or sewing shop for very little.
Helpful tip for placing them correctly - put the hook side on first, and use a safety pin on the opposite side as a temporary eye - then you can move it around until you have found the right fit, without having to unpick and move the eye each time.0 -
Thanks for that, and also for the tip.
I didn't know they were so easy to purchase, I'll go and have a look.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
