in Cutting tax
I work as an employed lgv driver, it became known to us all at our depot we was entitled to claim tax back on a meal allowance. I like 30 other employees submitted a letter to hmrc , 26 employees received a chq and a change in tax code , however i didn't and was told i had no right to this allowance and if i didn't agree to the decision i would have to submit a self assesment . Does anybody have an idea if i can appeal ?

I got mine paid out in march as did 50+ lads around then and in the previous 2 or 3 months. I've recently heard of 2 lads who have received a letter back saying they are not entitled to it even though they have been there for years.0
