Are all Telesales jobs a spoof?

I am not liking saying this, after being contacted Friday about an opportunity that was going to be spoken about today with it starting later this week, I am now having trouble finding out if it exists, just my luck, I've emailed the company with no response and called 3 times today after expecting a call all day (one call was a hang up and the other lady before was just blunt) didn't think I done anything wrong after all it's sales?

Hey whats a girl to do when it is posted now even on the jobcentre website ? admit I applied there to just in case they didn't get my email

I genuinely do not know what I've done wrong apart from respond saying I'm interested and then call when no call came - it's really put me off, least I've not lost anything I suppose

rant over ! If it is to good to be true, it probably is? though this really didn't have the hallmarks of being a scam spoof far from it the company has been around since the 1980's were highly recommended as a place to work, WHY are employers advertising fake/make up jobs? I don't know how to play it if they contact me now?

Waiting for Colchester Jobcentre to call me back to register a complaint if I can regards the below feel this is quite serious with vacancy still showing on their website!!!!!, can I ask if a company should interview everyone that applies?
After much suspense and waiting, the company emailed using a different email address to say they had filled post internally - so I was just a pawn in a game? I can't believe it when it was them that contacted me

Late yesterday the company then re-posted the advert with the start date removed, it was just worded as 'join us soon, eh?

I emailed the company back as professionally as possible saying I was disappointed and not to contact me again unless there is proper genuine and fair employment available because I believed you have to give everyone an interview? I mean lord what if there are other jobseekers out there who have potentially signed of JSA thinking there was a job? I'm gutted I'd rather have gone through the motions of going for an interview and then not been successful then this, so tempted to name and shame - of for a cold shower to calm down! it has been a bad day but have I had a lucky escape?

I'm not completely sure what your posts are about but you sound very young and frustrated.

Contacting the company with that parting shot was stupid and immature and you may find calming it down and reflecting on your attitude will help your job search.

I am a little bewildered by your post also. It seems that you are making a complaint because they failed to remove the advert? Perhaps they have not really filled the position, but said they had to stop you contacting them?

Sorry to disappoint, according to the jobcentre it now appears that either someone hasn't left or just simply changed their mind (which I can see happening I think...) or, it had been filled internally
Their one of my JC biggest employer clients and apparently this happens a lot :eek: although they won't remove their trap of an ad...

It doesn't matter what I wrote because I would never want to work there now anyway - as the guy at the jobcentre put it well easy work for JSA this week :rotfl:

I'll carry on applying for other jobs and focus on doing on the bare min (not call companies) from now on as advised
