pension after death of spouse

My husband died. He had cashed in a small personal pension a few years ago from Winterhur was still paying him a pensin of £200 a year
not much I know but what happens to it now does it just stop?

Phone them up to ask. If you do get something then they'll send you out a form to complete and will want a copy, or an original, death certificate.
Many pensions do have a provision for a widow - each one will be different. In a recent instance I was involved in sorting out two pensions then continued to pay half the pension, plus one of them sent an unexpected £1500 towards funeral costs.0 -

He didnt cash it in. He commenced an annuity on the pension. The annuity he purchased would have options such as spouse benefit. However, typically, on small amounts, most people don't bother with spouse provision. Although he may have done. You need to ask AXA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Winterthur is likely Drawdown isn't it?
If it is Drawdown you will have options.
If it's an Annuity you're restricted, and it can be nothing.0
