not sure if you have been on your trip yet but Stonehaven is not too far away and Dunnottar castle is worth a visit if its a nice day, its where Mel Gibson filmed hamlet, its a bit of a trek from Stonehaven town centre but it's a nice walkwouldn't it be nice if i won : car/cash/family holiday

Yup - Dunnotar is a good walk from Stony. Tale the path that goes past the war memorial on the hill above the harbour rather than the road.
