According to HMRC to qualify for exemption for NICs you need to complete their CF10 form. But I can't seem to glean from them whether I need to let them know immediately or send the form in with that year's tax return. Has anyone any experience of this?

Send it in right away.0 -
If you don't send it in, they'll send you a DD mandate for paying your NI. Hence the advice to send it in straight away.Signature removed for peace of mind0
