Business bank account; Limited company post BR discharge

I received an AD in November last year. Just starting the process of sorting out my credit record.

I need to set up a limited company; this is not a problem now I am discharged, however I will need a business bank account to receive payments. I don't need or want any credit facilities with the account.

I use a Co-Op Cashminder account for my personal banking, which has about £6k go in to it every month so the Co-Op should like me. I will talk to them to see if they'd give me a business account.

But, I'd like to keep personal & professional banking with separate banks, can anyone recommend another bank that will give an ex-BR company director a business current account?

Thanks.

You will have to go into the branch to talk to them about it but Iknow in the past that several posters have managed to get it.

You could also check out the Cashplus Business Account as a last resort. Not ideal but at least you can get payments made to your company name and keep personal and business separate.
  • You could try Barclays - they are BR friendly and I managed to get a full account soon after discharge although it can depend on which advisor you see (they even offered me a credit card:eek: which I "politely" declined)

I'm with Barclays - absolutely no problem... registered company on monday, had call from Barclays within 60 minutes, had an appointment with business advisor arranged.. for following monday, went in, told her of my situation, signed forms and away I went...

Thanks for your comments. I don't think Barclays would look at me; I owed them about £30k when I went BR.
