Barclaycard Initial

So I'm curious if anyone who's been BR and discharged has applied and been accepted for a Barclaycard Initial credit card?

It's been three years since I went BR and I've cleaned up my file and been trying over the past year or so to rebuilt my credit. I actually have a basic bank account with Barclays so a Barclaycard Initial card would be another step in rebuilding my credit it with them especially as they were one of my creditors (all be it for just a few hundred quid). I've managed to get a Vanquis card over a year ago and tried to get a Capital One card about 3 times but keep getting refused, although via Experian credit tool applied and got Aqua card but ultimately I'd like a credit card with a mainstream bank so that I can up my chances of a normal bank account too.

So anyone had luck with Barclaycard Initial?

if you look at the barclaycard initial requirements one really sticks out, you must have no credit history so i think it would be very difficult to get this card. Why not just try and see how you get on, if not then you will have to wait till 6 months is up. Or try the barclays credit checker to see if it comes up with a percentage chance of getting it.

    good luck

You should find the Aqua card reported on your Experian credit report. This would appear to other lenders simply as 'credit card' like any other provider. Company names aren't revealed on credit checks.

..I'm 5 years post BR and have Barclays Basic account, Flybe CC, Creation CC and Capital One .. combined limits 10k and a recent mortgage with YBS. Initial have turned me down both times I've applied.
