I am trying to tidy my wardrobes & drawers. However I have probelms storing my shoes & bags especailly and finding anything in my drawers as they always turn into a mess.I have seen shoe boxes in lakeland I think but these cost a fortune.
Cna anyone suggest a good way of storing my shoes- and especailly my boots- so they look neat & tidy & dont get lost ! I have also started treating myself to some bags from primark etc ( some larger ones and handbags- great prices ! ) but dont know where to put them so keep forgetting I have them !
At the moment my shoes & bags are getting bashed & lost.Any other storage tips would be great as I can never find things .
thanks x

My handbags live in a large suitcase that stays on top of the wardrobe. I have a lot of bags. Shoes stay in the drawers under the bed. Boots sit in the loft during the summer - if you roll up magazines and put in them they keep their shape and don't go all wrinkly. :T0

I always keep the shoe boxes they came in for my shoes and put them away in them stacked in the bottom of the wardrobe (apart from the ones I wear regularly which just seem to end up kicked under the bed
) For my multitude of handbags I've got some big clear stackable boxes with lids from Ikea that they live in - again in the bottom of the wardrobe. Ikea is great for cheap storage boxes etc.. if you have one anywhere near you.

I also keep the shoeboxes the shoes come in and write on the outside of the box what is inside for the ones I wear less often and these live in DH's wardrobe. Perhaps ask at shoe shops if they have any spare empty boxes. I have seen photos in magazines with a photo of the outside of the box of the shoe inside.
As for bags, mine end up in a hotch-potch pile on the bottom shelf of my wardrobe. If you don't mind looking at them then maybe a couple of hooks on the back of your bedroom door could be put up and then hang them from those at least they would be on display and you'd know what you did have....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Bags I have a seperate coat peg for, I don't have many anyway, some are inside another to save space/hanging space. Shoes in a big cabinet, think I got it in Home Bargains or was it from Studio, one of the 2, cardboard storage boxes for the special ones bought in Home Bargains. One day I might be more organised...........

I bought a large, cheap pink three tiered veg rack about 3 years ago to store my shoes in, my boots are stuffed wth carrier bags to keep their shape and sit comfortable at the bottom of my wardrobes and my handbags are stored under the bed in a cacavs storage bag...they come out when I need/want a different bag to match an outfit.0

We have a Poundstretcher near us who do great storage stuff- from plastic stackable boxes to wicker baskets etc. We got some wooden DVD rack things (I know that's not what you are asking for!!!) for £4.99 each, and have seen identical ones for £15++ in other shops.0

Durr... it had never even occurred to me to store bags inside one another to save space.
How good is this site!0
