Nestle cereal bars 25p coupons

I've just been playing with the supermarket price website, trying to match up items I have coupons for with items that have offers and I found this interesting one.

I have been buying the Nestle multi-packs for £1.06 from Tesco with various coupons on some of the little boxes, worth more than the £1.06 anyway.

On the Honey Nut Cheerios boxes, also Cookie Crisp and Coco Shreddies, is a 25p coupon for Nestle Ceral bars valid until the end of December. This week though on Nestle Cheerios and Shreddies bars they on special for 66p at Tesco until 29th of May. So a coupon that you can legally use so your bars are

66p minus 25p = 41p.

This is a great oppurtunity to go to the nastiest till girl, hand over your pile of 25p coupons which they will automatically hand back to you saying, sorry cant accept coupons or sorry can only take one coupon or worst still sorry you have not bought the product - possibly all three and she will have to conceede and accept the coupons :rotfl:

Not tried this yet so please can anyone report back when they have tried it. I've now got to go in search of all the little Honey Nut Cheerio boxes!

Mary

Trying to be good today and only use legal coupons.

Ooo, I have some of these and was already planning to swoop on my nearest anti-coupon-store with a wad of legitimate vouchers & points coupons, all in a big pile, and watch the SA's face turn to an expression resembling a smacked bum! I can't wait to burst their bubble and tell them I have bought ALL the items, then I will wait till the end and also hand over my ONE complimentary coupon (which will be for at least £2 of course).

I am so sad I have even kept some specially for that store that I could have used already (points for bakery, dairy, magazines etc) because they deserve to be taught a lesson that coupon-users are not 'the enemy'.

God I hate stores/SAs that try every trick in the book NOT to accept coupons!

Rant over and thanks for posting about this Mary!

I was trying not to go near Tesco again today, having been twice this weekend but now the urge is almost irresitable! Especailly as we now have to buy even more Nestle cereal even though I've no-where now left to store anything and no-one will eat Breakfast cereal in our house becasue of all the little boxes!

There is one store near us that have a strict one coupon per shopping vist and the rule is ridgit does not matter weekend, weekdays, students, sourpusses all the same. I think I will go when they are really busy, lunchtime and put them through one box of bars at a time. I have also got a few points coupons so I might use them as well :rotfl: Or worse still play with the scanners and annoy the scannner ogre.

First post is edited, found more flavours with the correct coupons.

Also on another box there is 30p off Honey Shreddies and this is on offer in Sainsburys for 99p or such like. A good offer if we did not already have enough cereal

A nasty SA at my local tried to tell me that they were only allowed to accept coupons up to 10% of your shopping, even if you've bought the item!!!!

So, on that basis, how would I be able to use a voucher for 60p off a £1.99 deodorant? Was I being forced to buy other stuff too? She really didn't get it.

In the end, she called for her superivisor, who told her to put through the coupons.

I hope she gave her some training at the end of her shift.

Thanks for the heads-up on the mini-cereal packets with coupons, I've bought a few packs with various coupons after doing the trick of pushing the middle one up slightly to spot a coupon (or not ;) ). Mine have exp of 28/10 and enough coups to pay for themselves.

Just a note for anyone else with a familymember addicted to CocoShreddies, they are on offer in Asda at the mo for 2 for £2, which is a great deal as they usually sell them for £1.91/box. Used some 25p off coups as well, so even better value. HTH someone :D

Booooo, I was at Asda at the weekend and missed that offer, we need Coco Shreddies again too and I have the vouchers. I will just have to pop back there again.

Off topic but a bargain, Asda had some 'kids lunchbox/food product' reductions, my receipt says 'kids event' or something but I had only bought those little mini Jaffa Cakes orange 'pods' that normally cost £1.25 in Tesco (£1.18 in Asda usually I think, how sad am I?). Anyhoo they were 2 packs for £1.50, very bargainous!

Also saw those Walkers Sensations in Asda and thought of Welshy and the possible coupons in the packets, so got 2 bags for £1.50. Haven't opened them yet as they will be eaten in a flash once open, but will post if I find coupons :D .
