Hi,
Finally got my credit report from experian...and not as bad as I thought..
However....there is a CCJ, after calling court and severn trent found out it's from years ago although judgement is june 04' as they must have been chasing me and I have moved around a bit and didn't get a notification before judgement was passed!
It's been paid, certificate of satisfaction in post! and the court have said I can appeal to get the CCJ put aside as no notice etc...
anyone got any experience of this and how likely I am to get it removed?
If not it's for 101.00 and will be shown as settled at worst...how will this effect me?
Any advice, experience much appreciated!
Thanks

You won't get it removed. It stays on record for 6 years. The status will just change to Satisfied however you may need to write to Experian and Equifax and submit a notice of correction.
How it will affect you? Well it's there but if it's the only one, I doubt it'll cause issues except with companies who won't tolerate any CCJ at all.0 -
you can get the CCJ set aside on the basis that you didn't receive the summons.. presumably it went to the wrong address?0
