Hmmm.... his coupon savviness is probably why everything in the next week will go up in price to cover the stores' losses. They couldn't possibly sustain this level of customer savings very long, especially now with all this publicity there will be many newcomers to coupon hunting.0

Hi,
An article on Daily Mail (article also in The Times) claims that a 17 year old uses Tesco vouchers to purchase £100.00 of food for £1.62.
I find this incredibly hard to believe. But where does he get his food vouchers from?
Search DailyMail: "The Coupon Kid: ‘Voucher vulture’"0 -
As the comments say, you don't get vouchers for healthy foods. It's the processed junk that you often find them for.
The whole story isn't being told, here. They can't survive on what he's managing to get in those shops, which means that they're still spending money elsewhere...presumably that other shop includes the newspapers and magazines he's scouring for vouchers!0 -
Im not concerned about what he's buying, just the discount.
I have heard that in America you can buy magazine purely dedicated to vouchers. So you spend £5.00 and can save alot more.
I have found the Tesco half price page and it has a good range from meat, cheese, snacks and drinks.0 -
My understanding is that he's using mainly suppliers coupons, not the retailer's.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0

Good for him, but my nearest supermarket would refuse that many coupons.
They read with a magnifying glass, hold up to the light and even sniff at their own coupons, as for a retailer's coupons.....!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
But he bought all rubbish food.Nothing you could make a meal with.I think he just printed out any voucher and got his mum to buy the items whether she wanted it or not0
