Did he show you any ID or simply stated who he was? I'm aware of a good many ruses when even the displayed ID ones not stand close scrutiny.
IF legitimate - As for what happens next, there may be a visit at a different timeframe or a letter.0 -
he showed no id just had a thing round his neck0

Im assuming you/your wife or both have financial problems. Why deny she lived there? If the doorstepper was genuine you would have at least found out the problem and perhaps also a way to solve it.By denying all knowledge of her whereabouts your left in a position of wondering whether or not to answer each knock to the door.
If he or another returns then ask your wife to speak with him,you dont have to let him in the house but you will at least be better informed.0 -
you dont claim any benefits do you or pay council tax in her name? If so they will be able to checkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

there is nothing we can think of we have 3ccjs but they are in both our names i said she wasnt here as i had my children in the house and the guys attitude was confrontational0

if he comes back we will talk to him what rights does he have i.e. can he get in etc0
-
Not unless he has a live Writ?
But I assume that he is just a goon from a DCA trying to collect a duff debt.
Tell him to leave0 -
