You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

It was just a one off shop to use as many coupons as possible to get the publicity. I'm sure they still did their "normal" shop on top of that one.
What I would like to know is how many of the items were items they would not usually buy/use and were just bought to bump up the total.
I do think you have a valid point tho, but it should be aimed at the coupons and not him or what he bought. i.e. "Try making a meal out of the coupons available".0 -

Sounds like a nightmare to me!0 -
They bought one Schwartz herb @ £1.12 and one Schwartz grinder @ £2.20. Assuming they have the same vouchers as I got (in with a healthy eating pack) the vouchers are for 75p off each, so that's £2.57 still to pay. In any case, there is only one 75p coupon listed.0

Sounds like an exaggeration to me!
Many people, on and off the internet, exaggerate what they do to make them selves look bigger/better than they are.0 -

He'd never make it past the kitchen utensil aisle with me.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Just seen him on the BBC news and he gives talks on this in his local town to teach others. He also explained 'overs' which I didnt realise which is when a coupon is for £1 off and the product is only 50p so the other 50p gets taken off your bill. Thats how they help to pay for fruit and veg which rarely have coupons.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

So how did he get round the fact that you can only use the coupon for the product? Do Tesco let you use unlimited coupons against a shop?0

A young Martin Lewis in the making :money:. Well done to him for being so savvy. My DD is also very MSE and started this in her midteens. Her friends at uni cant believe the bargains and money off she gets. I think my years of bargain hunting also learnt from my mum have rubbed off on her.
No doubt this boy has had some influence from his mum. It def puts you in good stead for adult life, not just saving money but being aware of money and how much things cost. I think he will do well in life.0 -
They just bought a load of carp as far as i can see. Often the stuff that is on offer IS the prepacked rubbish although there are good deals to be had.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
