Another comper with the same name ?

Just wondering so I apologise if it has been discussed before I did search but couldn't find much.
Has anyone ever come across another comper with the same name as you? I am a member of the winners circle on facebook and there is someone on there with the same name (what are the odds ) and was interested if anyone else had had the same thing.
A lot of the wins they are listed with are ones I have not entered so it is easy to tell but if I entered the same one how would I know if it was me or not ? Very confusing hehe

There's another comper with the same name as me, but she seems to enter with her full name rather than the shortened version which I use. I've had a couple of occasions where I'm not sure whether it is her or me that has won, but a quick email to the Company from the account that I entered with has sorted out which of us it is.

No but there's a canadian author which makes googling my name a problem. I suppose if you're Dave Jones it's likely but if you're Obadiah Zanusssi it probably isn't

There is another comper with the same name as me, except she only has an e in her name, where i am ae.

Still confusing, and people thought I had two accounts!

There's another MSEer with the same name as me. It hasn't caused any confusion yet though. Also there's an athlete with the same name so all google searches come up with things she won etc

I don't know if they're a 'comper' but there is definitely someone that has entered a couple of competitions with the same name as me. I have a very common first and second name which is rather annoying! There's very little point me googling my name as there seems to be so many people with it (athletes, a gospel singer, models, ice hockey players etc..) so even putting in winner or competition doesn't filter them out! Main reason I want to change my surname when i get married lol :rotfl:

my daughter's changing her to Jones & she has a popular first name, unlike their kids who have unusual first names so they won't have anyones in school with the same name

I tend to find in cases of facebook comping using a middle name helps to differentiate.
