Hi,
I have 4 clean accounts and 4 defaulted, one about to drop off and one about to be marked settled, the other two defaulted will be marked settled in the coming weeks/months.
When this happens i want to start building up my credit rating with a view to ultimately buying a house. I'm becoming cash rich but my credit is poor.
I may be able to get a credit card when these are settled which would assist (could anyone recommend any that use experian for their credit searches please? If they use Equifax they will see a further default i expect but this is unconfirmed). Though i may not be able to get a credit card at all, unsure yet as its too early to try.
What i was curious of is would there be any benefit to having a financial associate, ie. having a joint account with a person with a good credit rating and also how detrimental could my position be to her situation?
Thanks!
D.
