TV's at Tesco's down from £659 to £270

[FONT=&quot]In my local Tesco's in Newtownabbey I got a [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Panasonic TX-L42E5B 42" Widescreen Full HD 1080p LED TV with Freeview HD [/FONT]Smart Vierv [FONT=&quot]Full HD 1080p [/FONT] [FONT=&quot]reduced from £659 to £270. Must be in stores only as it is still on their web site for £498 and now £478. They said it was all stores to get rid of the stock. Have 2 prices on the receipt one for £659 the origional selling price and the other for £270 but don't know how to load image.

I wonder if I had kept my mouth shut and let it go through at £659 would I have got double the difference

Argos have the same TV down to £479.99 down from £566.99 so Tesco's price was high although he did say that was the price when they went out on sale originally I still saved £200.

I saw they advertised one in the paper for £200, it said at the bottom available in store till 08/05. Went in yesterday found the exact one but still £298. Queried it and manager point blank refused and said offer only on thurs - sat. I showed him the advert in the paper but not interested.

Complete idiot!

Maybe it would have scanned at 200 pounds,I wouldn't leave it at that,if there were no other terms showing in the paper then you should contact Head Office & see what they say.

I'd go back in and see if it was still there,maybe the Manager wanted it for himself

What paper was it?

It was the sun on Saturday - towards the back of the paper (after the horoscopes page i think) I don't know if would have scanned at that though as obviously they would have had to have got it out and it was clearly marked at £298.

I have emailed in to head office and they are looking in to it. One of The blokes At my local store is a complete jobsworth. He really looks down your nose at you, I honestly could just poke him in his yes he is so frustrating.

Are you sure? Advertised by Tesco themselves? The model above at £200? It was an instore clearance and the model referred to above was priced down to £270 (also discussed quite a bit on HUKD), therefore if there was an advert that showed it as £200 I would be very intererested to see it (as someone who bought one at £270 and was happy at that price, until you said what you did ).

110% was in the sun, a 1/4 of a page advert from tesco.!!

I spoke I tesco and after several and I mean several attempts from store to claim it was incorrect head office agreed to their mistake and sold it for £200.
