Firstly let me apologise for the length of this post.
I injured my arm in work, I bruised the muscle in my bicep and was off for 3 weeks. During this time off I found out I had a son from a previous relationship, my ex partner didn't tell me about him but I then received a message on Facebook saying he wanted to meet me! Needless to say it really messed with my head and I was in a dark place and took another 2 weeks off work to sort things out.
I had a meeting with the manager when I returned to work and he was very sympathetic with my situation but I was given a written warning for not following company procedures. The manager said to me on more than one occasion that he understood how I felt because he'd been in a similar situation. He made me feel better and I've been back in work for 6 weeks.
I woke up for work at 4am on Thursday 2nd May feeling nauseous and aching all over, I called the line manager immediately, leaving a message on his phone because he wasn't in work. Spent the whole day in between the bedroom sleeping and the bathroom vomiting.
Fridays are my day off so I wasn't in on the 3rd May but I called in and spoke to the manager to give him an update on my illness.
This morning (4th May) I received a dismissal letter saying that I failed to comply with company procedures and from the 3rd May 2013 I am to have my contract terminated.
I have been with the company 12 months and on a temporary contract but I feel I have been treated unfairly.
Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks.

Did you or did you not comply with company procedures? This morning (4th May) I received a dismissal letter saying that I failed to comply with company procedures and from the 3rd May 2013 I am to have my contract terminated.
As I see it, if they are going to dismiss you for an offence, you should have a hearing and due process. But if they just decide to dismiss you, provided that your notice expires within 12 months from starting, you do not have much recourse - although, again as I see it, it would be dismissal without cause within 12 months of starting rather than a dismissal for any offence and any reference should reflect that. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
When exactly did you start work for them because after Apr5/6th of 2012 it became 2 years before you could claim unfair dismissal (except for things such as discrimination in the eyes of the law...ie sex, race etc)Don't trust a forum for advice.
