I did the updated 'Extra' version ('ITQ'), via Pitman Training, in Brighton.
    - all self study, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Quite straighforward, but no coursebook to keep though, so need to make notes as you go!

Was as funded through jobcentre though, no idea re cost..

Have a look at unionlearn, the courses have been opened up to non-union members (the public) now rather than just members & families.

I'm currently doing the ECDL with Learndirect, which you can do online as I am, although my tutor likes me to come in once a week for an hour to check everything's ok.

It's free also if you don't have certain qualifications.

    Hi,
If you’re looking for an on-line ECDL course, the following websites will help you in searching:

    National Careers Service
    hotcourses

If you’re planning to study the ECDL on-line, you’ll often find that on-line course providers are privately run, so won’t attract any public funding. However, you’ll need to find out from the course provider, if this is the case.

If you’d consider taking a course in your local area, you can search by using the “Find a Centre” facility on the Chartered Institute for IT website.

In your post, you’ve not mentioned why you’re planning to take the ECDL. Is it related to returning to employment, a career change or career development? If so, perhaps I can offer some assistance with this too?

Hope that helps and best of luck with the course searching.
