THis is a great spot, it applies to three of the Malmaison hotel change. It'd be great to hear if anyone gets it free or nearly free! The offer is valid for stays between 25 and 28 May 2007 and you have to bring your passport with you when you arrive. Now I'm off to tell my grandma who's 85 in a few weeks (but don't tell her I told you or I'll get told off!)

I have details of an offer for Malmaison hotels in Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool. Take your passport and get your age in years as a % off! Eg if you are 40 you get 40% off your room rate. So if you are looking for an luxurious retreat for your 95 year old gran she'll be quids in
Valid for the may bank holiday weekend only. Go to www.malmaison.com/passport to book.

My granny is a sprightly 101 (102 in October) with all her faculties very much intact. She's also fond of the finer things in life. Does this mean I'll be able to tell her that the Mal will actually be payiing her to go and stay there? 1.5% of their usual rack rate is about £1.90. It wont even buy one of their extortionate mini-bar gin & tonics but by the sound of this offer she should still try and claim it!0

I had the original email , and it refers to "so if your over a hundred your quids in" or something to that effect!James thinks worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere
If i help you...Please thank me! :beer:0 -
This Spring Bank Holiday Fri 25-Mon 28 May the Malmaison’s the place to be, especially if you’re heading towards those twilight years. The Mal are offering customers their age as a percentage off the room rate so like a fine wine the older the better.
So if you’re aged 50 that’s half price off your stay, over 100 and you’re in credit!
Take your passport to the Malmaison in Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester to receive your discount and enjoy your stay.

It's a great deal, but there are a few catches:
1) It's only valid this bank holiday weekend (25th-28th May 2007)
2) The discount applies to full-priced rooms only:
For example at the Malmaison Birmingham, you can book an "Internet Rate" room for £85, or you can book a "Passport Promotion" for £120 minus the age discount. This means that if you're aged 30+ then the "Passport Promotion" is a good deal, otherwise if you're under 30 then just choose the "Internet Rate".
3) It appears to be sold out at some hotels (e.g. Birmingham for this Saturday)0 -
Looking forward to a week end in Birmingham - thank you!0

I just wanted to say thank you Martin for your post about the offer at Malmaison hotels.
I took my Granny who is 81 on the saturday night. It was fantastic. We got the room for £21!!
When we were given our room key we were greated by classical music playing on the stereo, a huge bunch of fantastic flowers and a note from the manager to say 'Have a glass of Champagne on me' - well I rang reception to say I thought we had been sent to the wrong room, because after all we were only paying £21! - I spoke to the Manager, and it was no mistake - my granny was the oldest person they had had on the promotion!! How ace! It made our weekend extra special...
Thanks Martin!

To celebrate Liverpool's 800th birthday, the restaurant at the Malmaison in Liverpool are doing the same offer. Not quite sure when this offer ends.
