Bulk buy washing powder

Hi Guys,

I found this site not long ago as I was looking at saving money by bulk buying washing powder. Some friends suggested Makro as you can get really good deals but as I don't have a trade card I couldn't buy from there.
Whilst browsing the net I came across a site called www.brandrefill.co.uk which isn't a trade site but it sells washing powder and the like.

I managed to pick up 110 wash ariel colour for £30 with free delivery. I got my delivery through yesterday so gonna not have to have to buy washing powder for the whole year :rotfl:

    BUT that's 27p per wash:eek::eek::eek:

    You should have checked out ebay and amazon it would have worked out cheaper.

    Makro - didn't need trade card last time I was there, just details and basic proofs.

    The supermarkets and also Aldi / Lidl do offers which work out cheaper, I got 2 box's of 100 wash for £9.99 each, works out around 9p a wash. The powder is good as Ariel colour in my opinion.
  • The brand refill site seems incredibly expensive, personally i would go down the costco route. Minimum purchase is 2 packs of washing powder @ £15.99 each plus 5% if you are not a costco member with free delivery giving you 800 washes for £31.98 (£33.58 for non members).
    May not be a big brand name but it does the job just as effectively. They do have big brand products available too if you insist on having a well known brand though.

    The 85 wash Ariel is £16 at Tesco so two of those = 170 washes for £32.

    Op you have overspent there.

    A while ago I bought Aldi's own when they had % off voucher with the £5 off £30 spend.

    It was ok, but I did have problems with my washing machine. At the moment I'm using the one i got from Lidl and I must say it is very good, my whites are good, and the colours are also good with the same powder.

    I will do a deep clean on the washing machine some time this month as I wash clothes every day (3yr old still having a few accidents in night and a few in the day, a real head ache as he refuses to wear a pull up).

    :eek: That's expensive, I bought Daz recently @ 42 washes for £3.99 (might even have been less can't remember now - Lidl I think it was) I mixed this 50/50 with Soda crystals which are cheaper than wash powder they were about 99p a bag so I got 84 washes for £6.98 = 8p a wash!).

    I usually bulk buy the Morrisons Non-Biological wash liquid when they have it on offer... 28 washes (980ml - currently £2) so that's about £8 for 110 washes!

    I've only got about 10 left in the loft so might think about topping up again.
