TUPE for 3rd Party Employee?
ProjectVRD
The company I work for is contracted to provide IT services for a government agency, and now the government is selling that agency. A company different to that which I work for win the bid to own the agency and now I have been given less than a months notice that I will transfer to the new owner by June 1st 2013.
I am not employed by the agency being sold, I work for a service provider, but now I am being pushed to be employed directly by that agency when it is privatised.
Does TUPE legislation really apply to me meaning I have to either resign or transfer?

Picking this apart a little bit, it seems to be to be substantially irrelevant that the government is selling the agency - it does not affect your position directly, although it may be the spur for the changes to your employment.
What has actually happened, regardless of ownership, is that the agency has decided to bring the services currently contracted to your employer in house. As such, TUPE would the norm. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
