Moorcroft replied to my CCA request with:

We have forwarded your request onto our client 'Britannica' and will forward you the information in due course. We have put you account on hold and suspending our collection duties until this information is received.

Then went further on to state something about legal action etc.

What should i do now just sit and wait and make no payment??

Sit and wait. Ball in their court.

Whether you continue to pay is a judgement call that is up to you. If you stop, then bear in mind that there is a chance that they could turn up an enforceable agreement and you might have worsened your position? Or you may consider that unlikely, and/or may have not much to lose anyway, so stopping would be the prudent course?

Well they have defaulted me ages ago so dont see how more worse they can make my situation? I have been paying via DMP for 7 years.

Britannica? Is that for a loan? Presumably taken out pre 2007?

How long since you sent the request?

Ok. Egg had my CCA from 2005. Also enforceable after review by people that know. Luckily nearly all paid now.

So it might have got mislaid at some point but looks like thy kept them. They also had my credit card CCA from 2001.
