I have got the 3 celebration cakes from tescos and was wanting to stack them with the polystyrene seperators rather than columns, so its similar to the cake in the pic, problem is the cake boards that the cake came on are larger than the cakes and im unsure of if I can get a smaller cake board the exact size i need, is there a way around this? do I even need a board or will the cake sag where it overlaps the polysyrene? they are all fruit cakes, any help would be great x

I can't tell what the separators are like becasue I can't see the photo. If you measure the cakes, you will be able to order boards from Ebay (thin ones) to fit the cakes better.0

I tried to post the image for Sairz (OP) but kept failing despite using the default board code.... weird.

You would definitely need a board, and floss2's ebay idea sounds great. I hadn't even thought of that and will follow it up for my own cake!0

Hi, I am looking for 3 different sized plain iced cakes for my wedding, I was going for waitrose but have been told they have some in tesco's and asda but cannot find online? Please help?0

The only one I've found in Sainsbury's is their 'decorate your own cake' http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp. You could try M&S too, they have some reasonably priced cakes as well:

Hello everyone. Sairz, I would definitely use boards to put on top of the polystyrene, makes it look cleaner and it's easier to separate and cut! If you can't find the right boards on ebay, I usually use this website (also if you're ever in London they have a huge shop as well at their factory!): http://www.sugarshack.co.uk/showroom. Hope that helps!'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0
