Self assesment tax refund pending??

Hi
I submitted my husbands self assessment and he is due just a refund under £1000. Its showing up as payment pending as its going to bank. Anyone know what pending actually means in this case and how long it takes?

I'm searching online for the same thing and came across this post. I see you didn't get a reply but just wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me if you got the refund and how long it takes? Ours refund also says 'pending'.

Hi I actually got the money within 5 working days after this post ! well it was my husbands. I believe it was just standard security checks.
