Checks on my credit rating

Hi, I hope I've chosen the right place to post this query.
In the last week of March, I opened an account with Bon Prix (catalogue). As expected they ran a credit check on me on 31 March. I have access to Credeit Expert who alert me when a check is made. The application type of check was "Credit Card".
They have subsequently made the same check EVERY 7 days since, plus one where the type was Budget (Revolving a/c). That's a total of 6 checks since I opened the account. Is this going to affect my credit rating?
I've tried to phone Bon Prix but they say they can't do anything on the number I called, and they would refer it on, and get someone to call me back. They haven't yet.
I'd appreciate any advice on this, as far as I know my credit rating is good, and I don't want some stupid thing like this to affect it.
Thanks, in advance.
Jen.

Hello
I am fairly certain that if you contact the credit reference agencies and tell them the situation that they will edit them to show only one search on your file because otherwise as you say lots of searches will affect your rating. I've had this sort of think happen before and they've always been really helpful about changing it
