I was browsing in Next At Home in Dartford and they had many sets of furniture that were in their displays half price.
I picked up this sofa for £300 from £600

There were other chairs, childrens furniture upstairs, oak dressers -all half price - the exact same items are still for sale full price. The assistant said because they had been in the window for 8 weeks (untouched) they had to sell them half price. Don't know if this is the same everywhere. Happy hunting.
p.s immediate collection by yourself only - and they are strict

It would be worth keeping a note of their eight week rota so that you can present yourself at the right week. I noticed my local store had bits of furniture on half price, but didn't think to ask why - just assumed they were having a one off clear out.0

Well done. I think they do it due to potential sunlight/ display light damage. Things in the window tend to lose a tiny bit of colour, I used to work for next many moons ago.
I bet your sofa is fine though, so long as your happy with the colour it don't matter! Good find 0 -

I love that sofa,great bargain, well done :-)0 -
In my nearest Next at Home they only had 2 pieces of furniture on offer and one was already sold, but, we did buy the other piece.
A Stanton Bookcase reduced from £275 to £134 - we had looked at this range late last year when we re-decorated the lounge and bought some other pieces - so am very happy with this purchase! :j0 -
I bought a sofa and chair from Next in the sale 7 years ago and it's still going strong. Great condition, cushions still firm, no complaints whatsoever.
Very happy customer!0
