Thanks to this site and all the friendly helpful people on here i embarked on being debt free two years ago.
I started with £24k of unsecured debt oweing four seperate companies money with no hope in hell of paying any off them off in my life time. Thanks to the advise here on this forum i embarked on a DMP in January 2011 curbed my spending which caused my partner at the time to leave me as i was no longer a money pot. Since then i have been through a traumatic time with pets dyeing dad being diagnosed with cancer having to sell the house and move back with parents at 48 thats a little humbling i can tell you. The proceeds from the house which wasnt much and selling all the furniture and unwanted goods on ebay has given me enough spare cash to approach the two lesser loans with the possibility of a !!!!!!. Barclaycard after the third attempt has agreed to accept after offering them £1000 less thsn whast i currently owe. Idem i am still awaiting on.
Anyway thanks to this site i have reduced my debt to £18,3000
Something i am really chuffed with. I hope others reading this who are just embarking on their debt free journey will look at my experiences with joy as there is defintely light at the end of the tunnel.:T:T:T:T:T
