Capital for home improvements!

I'm thinking of adding £5000 on to my mortgage which would be enough to totally transform my flat ready for selling and moving june/july '08 time. Is it a good idea to do this or should i get a loan maybe?. I would expect the property to gain value of at least £5000 maybe up to £10000 after the improvements. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards

Contact your lender and ask them for a further advance for home improvements.
